Looking forward to getting back to quilting
Well… I’m nearly over the hump, as they say and looking forward to getting back to quilting after being just a little tied up with family matters. After returning from my UK/France trip we decided to sell our house in Malvern and relocate to Bayside Melbourne. But before auction day our big old Victorian required some work, well quite a bit of work. After moving to a rental property in the Bayside area I spent the next few months overseeing the renovations. Once completed we moved most of our house contents plus items from elsewhere back to Malvern to furnish and style the house ready for auction. After a successful auction we then moved it all back to our rather empty rental. By then the moving was getting rather tedious.
Christmas was upon us and then I spent all of January in India with quilting friends. We had a fantastic time exploring Indian textiles and culture. This was my second trip to India and I find it a most fascinating place to visit. Since returning I’ve been trying to catch up on everything that was put on hold during all the renovating and moving. I haven’t even had a chance to write any blog posts about our adventures in India.
We have now bought another house and about to do the move again for the 4th time in 12 months and I have to say… I am well and truly over bubble wrap! I’m looking forward to spending more time at the studio which is now very close by, writing patterns and scheduling some new classes.
I have managed to squeeze in a few quilting events in between all the moves. On the weekend we were kept very busy at the Waverley Quilt Show. Congratulations to the Waverley Patchworkers for a very successful show, we really enjoyed being part of it.
