Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
Thank you for your support this year. Wow, what a year it’s been.
2013 has been one big learning curve… graphics programs, digital photography, laser cutters, e-commerce, merchant banking, shipping and all the other things I needed to know about to create and run this website and business.
A big thank you to Asher, my knight in shining armour, well… actually my web developer, who has been a dream to work with. He only lives 10 minutes away from me but we have never met in person, we haven’t needed to, we have done it all via phone and computer. Thank you for rescuing things after a rocky start earlier in the year.
I have some wonderful supportive quilting friends, friends like Fran who made me this lovely little Christmas decoration (using my 1½” diamond English paper piecing templates). The edge is decorated with tiny glass beads.
Fran’s been trialing some of my templates in her projects over the past year or so and it’s great to see what other quilters create with them. Fran’s the queen of fussy cutting.
My friend Debbie has been a big help to me throughout the year, proof reading and helping with laser cutting. Deb’s other half, Joel, is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to photography and graphics programs and has also been a big help to me. Thanks to you both.
…and then there were the Studio renovations. Remind me again why I thought it was a good idea to do the painting while trying to create a website and start a new business! Anyway, all the family pitched in and we now have a fantastic Studio space for running workshops.
Thanks again to everyone who has helped and encouraged me along the way. I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
