Quilting Travels – Part 2 UK…
Leighton House… William Morris Red House… Portobello Road Antiques Market…

Friday morning our quilting travels took us to Leighton House. Fantastic tiled walls, William De Morgan pottery… design inspiration everywhere. Unfortunately photography was not permitted. Here’s some Google images.

Then in the afternoon we headed off to Red House, once home to William Morris.

We spent Saturday at Portobello Road Antiques Market. We went there for the antiques but I seem to have taken lots of photos of food. Great atmosphere… music, aromas, quirky characters and loads of antique dealers. We had a great day rummaging.

Also at Portobello Road, a clothes shop with hundreds of old sewing machines as part of the interior display.
